UW Microfabrication Facility

Effective today, the Fluke Hall Cleanroom, where the UW JEOL Ebeam is located, is now owned and operated entirely by the University of Washington, College of Engineering. (The former Washington Technology Center organization has been abolished by the Washington state legislature.) Find out more details at the UW Microfabrication Facility (MFF) Website. I think you can expect some exciting improvements in the near future, as the college has pledged to improve the facilities, equipment, and staffing of the facility, which will benefit all lab users, including e-beam users. There will be some transition period as we hire new leadership and staff, tend to some some long-neglected maintenance, and begin to refurbish and/or replace old equipment, but I'm confident you can expect come good changes to come at the UW-MFF.
